Aisha jamila Hinds has been an American actor for over 10 years. Her credits have included The Shield as well as True Blood. Since her first appearance in 2003, she has shown her range in acting giving outstanding performances in television shows like 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7, and Under the Dome. Her first recognition came from her character Anna in 2005's film Assault on Precinct 13. But it was her performance as feminist campaigner Fannie Lou Hamer from the documentary film All the Way that finally earned her acclaim as an actor. Hind was also praised for her role as Harriet Tubman in WGN America's historical show, the drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. The show was renewed for the third season by 20th Century Fox Television. Hind finished filming in the last few days for the Hollywood film Godzilla: King of the Monsters. It is due to be released in mid-2019.
